The impact of technology on the core of nursing care.

What has changed is not our hearts or how we see the patient-nurse relationship. What has changed is the speed at which we access the service floor and the bedside. We remain heart-centered, firm in the decisions of the heart we made many years ago.

The floor, the equipment, and the technology cannot and will not replace the nature of human touch and love. How we deliver care at the bedside will not change, but how we approach the bedside is rapidly changing.

The healthcare platform arrived, helping us identify the best staffing solutions for nurses and healthcare practitioners. More shifting, more nursing opportunities, and more nurse choices are accelerating rapidly, but our hearts remain steadfast in the how and why nurses are nurses. Nothing will change the reason why!

All we need to do is remember the why. We chose nursing careers not simply to help but to transform the lives of others through love. We continue to choose to wear love on our sleeves. Technology will speed up the time, but our fleshy hearts will ring love until our last patient, and then some.

From the beginning, love never changes. Isn’t this why we certified nursing assistants, med-techs, licensed practical nurses, and every person in medicine chose love?

If you are considering healthcare as a career or are a recent nursing graduate, consider your career a love career until the end of the shift, do us part.

Seemingly, we live a rich, full life in our personal lives because we have sown love, and what we sown brings love right back to us!

It’s love in nursing.

It’s what we do!
